My old man caught this down Saltwick tonight. Any ideas what it is?
Its a blenny and a cracker at that.
Looks like a can of john smiths to me :tease:
It's a Shanny type of Benny
Bennie or goby but I'm guessing a blennie
Definately a blennie.
Common blenny with a drink problem, nicely coloured though..... http://www.glaucus.org.uk/Blenny.htm
Its a great live bait for a big bass. Defo blenny
a shanny without doubt.
caught one a few years ago from the beach at skipsea ,thought id got a giant blenny till i looked it up and found out what it really was.
dont see many caught so well done mate.
Cheers for that lads, i've never seen one before. My dad says cheers for identifying it for him
A Shanny seems to be another name for a Common Blenny - look here: http://www.wemburymarinecentre.org/viewspecies.php?id=2
Separate names with a comma.
