:cheesy: Good week upto now on Libby with the 3hr trips. Fishing 3 - 4 miles North of Whitby Harbour. Sunday Morning seemed to start off the way we had finished on Saturday night, with lots of Mackerel catching on every drop. Also Gurnits, Bleggs, whitings and a couple of decent codlings. Monday we took 2 family groups out 1 all the way from America, in what were perfect conditions. One of the Americans said it was the best trip they had ever had. There was plenty of Mackerel caught again, with the added bonus of Whales and Porpouse sightings, which made the day for them. Tuesday we took a group of 4 local lads out, in what was a good SE wind blowing. In the same area 3-4 miles north of the Harbour the fish were still catching. Between them they caught plenty of Mackerel, whitings , Gurnits, usual stuff despite the bad weather. One guy was lucky enough to catch himself 2 nice Haddocks and a decent codling. Today, Thursday , sheltered from the Westerly wind under Sandsend cliffs. 100s of whitings caught, ones and twos on nearly every drop. A further point of interest is the amount of feed marks showing up on the sounder now, which in my opinion would indicate that the start of the summer fishery isnt far off !! A few good days of sunshine on the water should make all the difference. Hopefully we should start seeing a few Codlings within the next few days on the 3 mile.
