    It was a massive swell Jimbob. Shame it wasnt on a 6m tide. then it would have been fun and games.

    It was only just going over the sea wall at Sandsend.
    Not like in the mid 1970's, the year halve the car park got washed away.
    The sea was huge, and the northerly wind was gale force.
    The waves were hitting the sea wall, reaching up to halve way up the height of the tallest buildings.
    Then the wind was picking up the top of the waves and dumping them on top of the roofs.
    Awesome sight and sound.

    The 800mm focal length compresses the image and makes it more dramatic then it is.
    The piers are about 3 miles from the car park.

    Is a nice looking swell up, some great pictures, love it when the sea looks really wild
