A nice forecast for this morning & chat with Howard who was going for an early session persuaded me to get the boat out for a Wrecking session,

however Howards idea of early & her who must be obeyed differs by about 4 hours, so we were woken at 05:30 by the dawn chorus & a lovely sunny morning with no wind, (Howard would already have been at sea for 2 hours

got launched by about 07:15 and off to a wreck at about 6 miles, water very clear & a steady few fish, not frantic but enough to keep us interested,

we tried a few more wrecks in that area with less success, until howard & his motley crew  arrived back from the dogger bank or somewhere, we had a few drifts to watch how the expert cod murders do it before deciding to have a look closer to land.

delighted to say that our chosen wreck's at about 2 miles from land produced a few & the water was just as clear so things are looking up, just a shame that the weather is taking another downward lurch this weekend .
sorry about the lack of photo's but hears a couple.

Great to see you getting among them Dave its been a frustating start to the summer fishing to say the least. They will be showing on land rock v. soon cannot wait .
We had a run off early doors as the weather was (unusually) so good but as it turned out there was no need really there were as many fish on the usual suspects.
Not quite firing right on the fishing front just yet but we didnt see a hint of the green stuff. Some of the fish we had were coughing up sprats yet no feed marks were showing so dunno really.
So lucky to be out again though 2 sunny , calm days this year 2 trips and the freezer starting to fill again. Thanks to Buzz and Daves help launching/retrieving. Buzz christend his new Avet (nice bit of kit). Looking out now for the next oppertunity  .
