fished whitby west the other night next to lobbers and took this photo of his biggest fish of the night.
I must say that it smelled of poached eggs on the end.

i had three mopps last night, had a goood one on but where i was fishing the ground is full of big boulders, and it wasnt long before the fish found one of them :angry:

Had a chuck out for a couple of hours with our lass ebb tide on the red dalek, she was on fire, first cast she hooked a goodun but it spat the hook half way in, then she hooked this nice two pounder




she quickly added a pb near 3lb'er



then all went quiet, i could'nt muster a sniff of a cod bite and it was looking like our lass was going to thrash me two nil, but just before we lost the water i managed to save face with this plump 4lb'er



that 48 to go for our lass, 14 to go for me :cheesy:

been putting the hours in to get only 7 mops up to now,43 to go,not reaally confident of making it a dozen.never mind doing better than last year already!

i had one fish today in the south shields open 3lb 1oz, won myself a much needed quality flask, i bluffed shorty to take the steak knives ahead of me, rubbish was just before us but got swindled with a plastic fake dvd player :laugh:

wheres bara bob, if he aint carefull, i'll smack 13 tomorrow night and win the challenge :cheesy:

Well done all on the fishes,i'm stuck on 1 for this season,having said that i haven't been out much at all,out tommorow night in search off some coddys,i'll let yous know how i get on hopefully with a Report and pictures off my fishes. :wink:

update on the 50 challenge
fished whitby west last night from 6-12 with my mates
met lobbers on there keen to end his 50 challenge fishing the late shift.
I caught 2 cod and a codling

That takes me down to 43 i will hopefully get out a bit more and dent it.
cold with horizontal eye hitting hail and a new shore pb for me it was a belter .
