we launched this morning @ 6 bit of swell on as tide pushed through

the "bells" safely through & out towards huntcliffe.

f/cast 1-2 land winds, secondary swell sse 4.7 tide, hoping for a run free morning.

1st stop , mark yon side of pier,

1/2 dozen mops to bait & gummi-macs. returned fish.

2nd drift produced 3 keepers 4lbish, lost decent fish smashed gummimac trace

    at second hook.

    3rd drift,

using spare rod with daylights on managed a 3 then 2 shot of our first

mackerel of the year, good sample again, bait rod in boat nowt on this drift.

    moved to next mark
kept 5 cod to 4lb all on daylights , no more mackerel, mini cod taking

    bait .

swell hitting h/cliffe & change of swell direction so set off home,

nice surfing in with sets running in, safely home .

    2-mackerel full of roe/eggs .

1 boat towed past us by lads in flyer, well done for helping someone in

Aint been out myself for approx 8 weeks, until sunday night - fished the flood at filey brigg for a few hours with the spinning rod.
Nothing to show so another month for the mackerel imo.
