rumour of a 12lber out there tonite
is it true
Its true saw the photo earlier jellyworm caught it
12lb 12oz off Drive........littlecod saw me loose a good fish earlier on I was gutted but then another put in an appearance to cheer me up.....along with a mop. The big one had a hook snood hanging out it's bumhole with a 2/0 fine wire hook embeded in its pipe ! Plus it's mouth at the oppsite side to where I d hooked it was ripped to pieces so I guess it had got away with it twice before at least !
Congratulations thats a hell of a fish, if it had managed to get away a couple of times before it souncs like it might have put up a bit of a fight and I dont suppose the drive is the easiest place to land a fish like that either.....nice one.
Tight lines

cracking fish mate
Now then Harry, it looked lovely yesterday on the Drive, almost flat sea but colour as thick as guts, proper chocolate, so getting the fish was not a problem .........had a mate with me who was able to get right down to the bottom acropod and gill it. It was at low water as well.
I was casting off the footpath, giving it a full on backsmash as the bites weren't coming close in. It was a very strong fish and proper heart in mouth stuff on the braid !
Nice one Dave, nice to see all that dedication and commitment paying off
