Both clubs nowadays always fish their matches at the same time.
2 matches per month are fished October to March with fishing 2 till 6 weigh in by 7.30 at the Anglers Social Club.
The dates for these matches are picked at the monthly meeting the 1st Monday of the month for South Cliff and the 1st Friday of the month for the Rocks meetings starting at 8 pm.
You can fish the selected Wednesday Friday Saturday or Sunday with your normal fishing day nominated when you join. You can change your day by phoning the secretary but this must be done at least 48 hours before the 1st match of that series.
Optional sweeps can be paid for each match of £3 per club.
Trophies are up for grabs for various things in the clubs and various other comps are run ie Fur and Feather match, Boxing Day match, Members Day, Easter Monday, singles and doubles KOs, summer matches in Rock Anglers, Specimen fish trophy in South Cliff.

Congratulations on your win Paul! Well done to all those members old and new who turned out in the cold weather and also to those who turned up back at the club afterwards. Thanks to Pete Atkinson for organising the match and to the match sponsor for putting up such a generous first prize.

Twenty fished, not sure how many weighed in but most people who fished caught fish although not all came back to the weigh-in. I noticed Ian only listed the results down as far as sixth, wouldn't have anything to do with the fact that he came sixth would it??!! :suspious:
