Proper tope have been caught from the beaches in the past alan, The doc might have some pics of them, 30lb + a few of them i believe
I seam to remember finnarts bay rocks was a known tope mark, and a few have been caught from old house point, if u can still fish it that is?
i would reckon around the 96- 97 year class, i think local bass are pretty fast growin

Saw one caught on filey brigg bout 3 years ago jelly, it was caught on fresh mackrel and looked about 4lb
we tried frozen baits, bluey, mackrel etc last year abored lizzard~! nothin, put a live mackrel on u got instant runs

had a early trip down lincs coast this morn in search of a early hound
had a 5lb hound 1st cast then nothin until half tide up when 2 consecutive...
Not 100% sure but i heared from a few people that a 22lb bag (4 skate) was the winner, but heared there was half a dozen hounds weighed in
