today was our second match of the season we fished oak tree leisure ,huby nr york ,pond 1 . conditions were not great cause as we all know when the wind is in the east the fish bite least ! around 35 anglers took part
results.
1st 28lb 8oz   p cowen 10 fish

2nd23lb 13oz  j wood 7 fish
3rd 21lb 10 oz l whittaker 3 fish
 i managed to sneak in to second place but the fishing was very poor many anglers blanked roll on the good weather !  cheesy

A first and a second Woody, doesnt get much better than that, well done mate, some of those early season matches can be a grueller carnt they? How long you fish, 4 of 5 hours?  happy

im not sure ken but last season they had an  a team that used to fish against other clubs .but not sure how it all works .only my second year match fishing .but i know the big opens at the oaks  on cedar get awarded kamazan point for wins,  like penn points in the sea  league .  but them guys are  some of the best in the country and at the moment its all chopped worm fishing and it costs u 20 quid in bait to compete i dont think that is very good on the back pocket but give it a month or so they will be back on pellet again so may have a go then  cheesy
