fished the mere for years ben and in my opinion its 1 ov the best winter roach venues around,a crackin pole water.try fishin just off the shelf at 7meters plus with castor and hemp,u wont be disapointed 20lb plus nets ov roach no problem if u hit the rite peg, dont be afraid to keep switching patterns aswell as the fish do move and intercept your bait when they go into a feeding frenzy so button hole pattern is a gd method.the piking there can be good aswell although im sure he still has sea dead baits only which i find not so gd in the mere, but dont quote me on it things might have changed and slackend off a little maybe someone can update me as its been 2 years since i fished the water, hope this helps ben,,,,,,tight lines. :cheesy: :cheesy:

The mere has been fishing it's butt off since early spring.I know 2 local lads who have been hammering the Bream on the Feeder, some nice fish too,9lb+ and most above 4lb...tight lines
