Now that is a beautiful place to fish, where abouts on the Esk is that Woldedge? Would love to fish there  Very nice fish as well |

The pics were taken between Glaisdale and Egton Bridge. Easy ish fishing in low water, but no chance of fishing it anything above 6 inches above summer level. Those also can be quite greedy in wanting your spinners. Pools not really big enough for the fly. This pic is slightly down stream from previous pics.  |

It is on the expensive side to fish there. But at the same time given the right (whatever they are) river conditions it is absolutely second to none fishing. But as they say the river is either too high, too low, weather too bright, too warm, not warm enough, it was better yesterday. But that is fishing.

This is Dead Man's in high water. I am not too sure why it is called Dead Man's. I know a few people have drowned in the pool. Even at low water like last back end they say that it has some holes that are at least 20ft deep. Also there is a strong under current for such a peaceful pool.  |
