Popped up for the afternoon which then went onto the evening. Stunning weather. Arms sunburned. Fished with intermediate line and long leader using golden fritz and black fritz, Both caught fish. Also used sinking line and bounced a booby along the bottom. Fish went for this too. Took 5 home and lost over half to a dozen. Best fish to take home 3lb.Crackin day.

Mick.

Nice one Mick.
Another good method up there is to use a goldhead or weighted fly on a floating line, just letting it swing round in the wind and keeping the line taught via a very slow figure of 8 retrieve.

Works with nymphs, buzzers and just about everything else too.

Nice one Mick.

I drove up to have a look at the River Derwent today, having half killed myself fishing the River Wear at Durham, and left the Derwent very impressed. I spoke to a lad calle Aiden who was very helpful, and, i think he said that he was on the committee. Anyway, i've sent an e mail off to see if there is any vacancies.

Can you offer any info Mick?

Cheers
Dave
