Scaling Dam: Opening Weekend Sat 15th and Sun 15th March.

Number of rods: 40

Number of trout taken:
Rainbows:53
Blues: 0
Browns: 0

Total number of trout taken: 53
Rod average: 1.30

Number of fish restocked: 2000
Number of anglers to date: 40
Number of fish taken to date: 53

Rangers Review:

Bitter cold North Easterly winds kept angler numbers down over the opening weekend. Following strong to gale force West winds the previous weeks, anglers were faced with the challenge of cloudy weather conditions. Both ends of the dam wall were the best locations and the top method was ledgered maggot combined with a swimfeeder. This method produced a full 12 fish limit for Middlesbrough angler Tom Fitzpatrick and his son, who fished the East End of the Dam Wall. With an improvement in the weather and a further stocking this week of 1000 rainbows, catch returns for the Easter weekend should improve dramatically.

Best Baits: Maggot with swimfeeder
Best Areas: Both ends of the Dam Wall.

I do have the reports for the other reservoirs and will update as soon as I can import them from the awful spreadsheet format they are in.
