I've noticed that of late too.

Luckily I 'Over-purchased' two seasons ago and still have scores left as well as quite a few that have been dismantled for 'restoration work'.

Yer cant beat a mepps or type spinner , you should invest in a spinner making kit , works out alot cheaper in the long run and they are rather easy to make ........they are just as good as a mepps when built with the proper materials , the copper ones i made raised a few sea trout a couple of seasons ago , but thats all they did , looking back on it i should of used alot bigger hooks than what were on at the time ....... :educated:

They have some very nice spinners in their US range that you just don't see over here.

The Aglia Glo in white look especially good.

I like the Aglio dressed treble.  They were once a popular spinner for Satburn Beck years ago. Good site that Ian.

It funny how you never seeing anyone over here using the single hooks on spinners. I can think of a few situations where I'd rather have a well tempered, tough single than a treble.
Fresh sea trout in fast water for one!

The only time i use single hooks when spinning is when i've spun for mackerel.  I have in the past noticed certain spinners such as Mepps dont seem to "swim" correctly when using single hooks, but if you can get away with it will certainly save on losses.

With payday looming lures are firmly on my mind and I found this selection from Zebco. Not the best make and two of the selection I wouldn't bother with (despite the Welsh lads I know doing very well on spinners with a 'perch' coloured blade) but the all silver one on the left with the willow blade looks just the ticket for tide fresh Summer sea trout.

That size 4 with the black painted blade looks a bit spicy for fishing a falling spate.
And at that price they're a steal!

Glad you like them Ian  :embarrass: Spro's pricing is good considering they are well made with decent components (makes a nice change!). They do have other sets available but I just tried these two sets plus a few other single spinners to see how they sell, looking forward to trying some out shortly
