Kielder Reservoir Catch Reports

 Best catch     5lb 2oz rainbow.
 Best bait     Ledgered worm, Green and Orange Powerbait.
 Best areas     Whickhope, Leaplish.
 Best flies     Orange and Black Nomads, Green Fritz Goldheads.


William Ransom caught the heaviest rainbow of the week at 5lb 2oz from Matthew's Linn on worm this equals the best fish caught this season at Kielder.  Whickhope has been the most productive area for bank anglers mainly at the mouth of the burn opposite the Calvert Trust entrance.

Ian Pender had fish of 4lb 4oz and 3lb 12oz from one of the boats fishing below The Belling at the Wave Chamber.  Fly anglers have had improving catches especially at the Water-Ski Bay at Leaplish waterside park and also at Leaplish below the Beaches Walk.
