Hury Trout Fishing
Best flies Black and Green Nomads, Black Boobies, Bumbles and Black Palmers.
Best areas Top of Dam at Boil Pipe, Corporal Hill, Peninsula and Newhouse Bay.
Another great week at Hury despite the cold windy weather, with many limit catches and several anglers returning double figures of trout, with many in 3 to 4lb size range.
Despite the cold easterlies the fish have remained in the shallower areas with floating and intermediate lines accounting for the majority of fish on a wide range of patterns with mini Fritz performing very well throughout the week, black and orange the best colours. A number of fish in the 10lb range have been stocked, so be prepared for even more excitement during the coming weeks.
