Not yet Smokey- the weather hasn't exactly been kind at the right times.
Though the river is up a couple of inches today which should bring them up.
I'm just waiting for a nice settled night to target them with the fly.
Given a falling spate, a warm westerly and some cloud cover I'm confident of getting one or two out.

Nice one Bucko, let us know how you get on.The local netters at Filey have been ordered to remove their nets today for 2 weeks, due to the amount of Guillemots getting fast in the net.Apparently the RSPB had a big say in it,too many organisations that have too much power these days...tight lines

Had a look out today with the beck been up a bit but didnt get much, had one fish on but it came off.

Cant agree more with you smokey about the rspb having too much of a say in things. I dont agree with birds been killed in the nets but they dont understand that peoples livelihoods depend on fishing and that relitively few birds are killed in nets compared to ones that die due to lack  of food from the declining sandeel numbers, oiling ect..

What about all the birds geting killed by cars, so thats ok for the RSPB goons. Obviously, because they drive them too.

I'll be up the Tyne soon, and cant wait. I was talking to a lad about one of the beats i havn't fished yet, and he told me that the Tyne Sea Trout take well during daylight to the fly. Generally though, the day after a Kielder release.
