Hury - Up to 26th April 2008

Best flies     Black Cat's Whisker, Clan Chief, Black Fritz Booby.
Best areas     Corporal Hill, Reedy Bank to How Gill Point.

With water temperatures slowly creeping up and the occasional warm spell through the day fish have been seen rising to hatching buzzers and suitable artificials have caught well. If only a few fish can be seen rising try a Black Fritz Booby on an intermediate line with a short sharp retrieve.

Whilst the average size of fish remains around 2lb, Sam Mearns had a cracking day taking his limit for 18lb, while many anglers have had 3 & 4 pound fish in their catches.  With the introduction of more big fish coming soon, things should get even better.  A spell of warmer weather should really see fly hatches get going with some olives mixed in with the usual buzzer hatches.
