You know the ones- Flies that catch fish for everyone but you and have done for decades. Tried and tested patterns that when put on the end of your line do absolutely nowt. Whats yours?

Mine is Peter Ross.

I do alright on a version with a black hairwing and black tail, I've caught on a Teal and Silver, Teal Blue & Silver but give me a pool full of fresh sea trout eager to take, put that on my leader and I guarantee you I will catch nothing but bushes on my back cast.

A mate of mine is the same with Greenwells but for me its a killer at the right time.

They do nothing for me either.
But a PTN with a black thorax is a different matter altogether!
