Imagine something like that coming up for your size 18 black gnat!

As a kid we always used to go to Stanley on the River Tay for our holidays every year. I used to fish for trout there and often salmon of at least 15lb would swirl, splash and chase your fly.
One unusual thing they did was when you were bringing small eels in of say 7 inch long size, the salmon would chase them right accross the pool. Gives quite a nice insight into why 'Collie Dogs' and other 'dibbled' flys do so well.
