DENNIS WOODS of Middlesbrough tempted a 13lb 12oz rainbow to a White Zonker at an in-form JUBILEE LAKES where the rod average is over four.
Rainbows to 14lb 10oz were caught, with Black Zonkers and Cat’s Whisker proving the most successful patterns, mainly at a ‘deep intermediate’ depth.
The lakes are open until January 7, and after that will remain closed until the last day of the month, when the new season begins.
DESPITE the cold weather, anglers at STONEBRIDGE had a fantastic week still favouring the slow retrieve with intermediate lines.
Olive Zonkers and Buzzers are catching steadily.
Peter Fletcher from Eaglescliffe had a lively day taking advantage of the new winter ticket to catch 13 hard fighting rainbows, in a week in which rainbows to 15lb 8oz were caught.
