I can quite believe it Ian, after seeing the size of the Seatrout being devoured by cormorants at the Tees Barrage. I've never seen them eat flatties though. Nice pics mate.

Never thought I'd see a cormorant eat a Pike, greedy b#gger!!

i seen two trying to eat a sea trout about 7lb between them years ago

I wouldnt be surprised boro boy. I bet the one eating the pike just went on fishing as normal afterwards.  In general cormorants are considered pests in the angling world, but they are amazing birds-great hunting, eating machines.  No wonder the Japs or whoever use them for catching fish, as they will never blank.
