Got the nod form Iain and Dave that it was a goer for Flambro' today and so the goodship jellyworm was thrown on the car and the dash made to the coast. The boys had just launched by the time I got sorted and down to the water....tide was well out and just starting to flood, which made for a long hard slog up to Bemmo under roll up area. The water was a little dirtier than we had expected and that proved to be the deciding factor in us having quite a poor day as far as the fishing went. Dave had lost a good fish first drop down...(funny how all the good ones are lost before the surface.. ) Ian had a few pollock plus a small mop and I managed a dab...yes a foooking dab under Bemmo and about 6 or so Billet before we decided to call it a day and head back in. Still a good work out and a taster of the better fishing to come once the cod settle back in...early days yet. Oh and Quint has finally resigned himself to the fact that 50 is sprinting towards him ever closer and so he is preparing early by dressing like a pensioner when yakking...Andycap meets Bemmo. (spot the Ice Prick he is using also...lol) Roll on the next settled spell for that colour to drop and the spraggs to appear. Cheers Jellyworm

There is no requirement to report to the coastguard when launching with the yak. However when launching solo or in pairs we do depending on launch site . Most of us have now obtained a radio cert. and completed and registered a CG66 with the coastguard.

a few more pictures, as for dress sense check out the gangster shades & the plus fours are much easier to get on under the chestys, then its just whip em off after fishing and go for a pink gin with the gilly anybody else knackered, or is it just me, great weather had the first bbq when i got home, bottle of wine and woke up in time to go to bed. passed a green prowler going in the opposite direction as i was coming home, any good Ramrod ?

Met Ray at North Landing after you lads had departed. We gave it a good go fishing top to a few hours down but it was a bit naff in all honesty but a damn good paddle non-the-less with great company - headed towards Brail. Ray had a billet which he worked really hard for, got to take my hat off to him Plus I must be getting fitter as after watching Ray lug his yak down the slope and then later back up on his shoulders I followed suit and to be honest probably easier than trying to drag it up on the trolley

passed a green prowler going in the opposite direction so much for the stealth colours Dave No good I,m afraid regards fishing but had a great paddle and drift under the cliffs in spot on conditions. Good to meet Ken too, top man, who has inherited my one pinned transducer plug

Yet again an excellent report lads, conditions looked spot on. Hopefully myself and Matty will be back out on the yaks again soon All I need now is a flat cap in 'Flame' to match my yak
