Polite Notice

This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

got a bit bored yesterday, so decided to take me dads old rod (greys syntra) for a cast along with his penn 525 mag, as i'm thinking of upgrading. set up spot on the end of the fish pier at scarborough, and after about 10 mins trying to work out how the bloody reel worked, i clipped me lead onto the shockleader and proceeded to cast out. had about 3 decent birdcasts and after a slight and extremely stupid mistake by me, the shockleader fell off  embarrass even after a fairly long break from the fishing world, i'm still havin a rough old time! had a nice chat with mr cammish, and i blame most of my mistakes due to the lads at Edwin Jenkinsons puttin me off!!!  angry tis a silly question "have you caught out?" when i'm just using a lead  crazy
