Polite Notice

This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

Last week started with plenty of fish from most marks with some good twenty pound plus bags and a double figure fish reported from the Cayton bay area, as the seas died away a few fish lingered but as is the norm at this time of year the fish soon disappear, all is not lost though as the seas have started to get up again this week and if the forecast is correct the seas should carry on in to the weekend and the chance of a good fish or a good bag is very much a prospect.
This week end sees the Rocks and South Cliff anglers competing their club match and the race for top spot is now separated by just under ten pounds and is been keenly fought between Mal Norris, Ian Thompson and Matt Hillaby who all have over fifty pounds, with a handful of anglers in the mid to high thirty pounds range still with an outside chance.

Although it's not in Pete's report I heard Mal Norris had 3 fish for over 20 pounds ? including a magic double. Is that information correct ?
