Scaling dam is hoping to start the new campaign next Saturday with the same gusto as last year.
Fishery manager Derek Gill said: "We will be stocking with 2000 fish before the season starts, and if it's anything like last year there will be some big catches, especially to fly anglers.
"Although the weather was cold this time last year, strong westerly winds drove fish to the east end where they shoaled, and anglers there caught a lot of fish, most taking lures."
Most of the stock fish are around 1lb 6oz, with a few up to 3lb, though some much bigger ones will be stocked later in the season.
