This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

Sandsend Beach Three Way match results

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

H All,

Just for those of you who are interested.

Cleveland Police, Tackle Box and Hartlepool Pirates fished a Challenge match last night on Sandsend Beach.

Conditions were not great, flat sea, fishing the tide up from low towards high etc you know the sort of excuses i'm trying to make lol.

Here's how we finished.

1st Cleveland Police 7 fish counting = 195 points

2nd H/pool Pirates (B) 3 fish counting 86 points

3rd H/pool Pirates (A) 2 fish counting 61 points

4th Tackle Box 1 fish counting 27 points

All fish caught were Flatties

Individual winner Marty Chaffey Cleveland Police 4 fish for 106 points

2nd Mally Anderson Cleveland police 2 fish for 53 points

3rd Me, Doug Howes Cleveland Police 1 fish for 36 points

Me and Bill Bradley (Dabcatcher) were joint 1st for biggest fish on length.

It was good to put some faces to names on here and look forwardto the return matches next couple of months on the Tyne.

Cheers Doug

Hi Dav,

Yes Neil and Trevor the shop owners both fish.

Neil is mainly Freshwater but does take part in the sea matches when able to.

Trevor is the main man in the shop for sea Fishing.

Both good lads and as I have said before on here,

I borrowed one of Trevor's rods a Shimano Aspire to try

before I bought one,( not many Tackle Shops would let you do that i bet)

Anyway I was that impressed I bought the Company lol.

Actually I did buy three Aspire rods from him though.

Good lads and a good shop if they dont have what you want in they

will try to get it for you.

Cheers Doug wink
