This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

Sea nicely coloured, had a couple of chucks off the wall on last of ebb, only a few rattles. Went of boat slipway as ebb got into full swing, my mate pulled in an eel straight away, not to be outdone i followed with one which resulted in 1 knackerd rig. Followd ebb out and as soon as we could get beyond the bouys the bites came thick and fast. I managed a codling of about 1.5lbs   , my mate also got one of similar size. Moved round towards pipe, next cast another fish on, got it snagged about 40yds out, without thinking i decided to walk along the concrete pipe, slipped and before i new it was f...in soakd :embarrass: :embarrass: :embarrass: :embarrass:, not only that manged to pull out of the fish......The headlight belt around the chesties saved mi pants, stripped off the tee shirt/hoody and on with the smock. The next 2hrs was frantic with loads of coalies and missed bites, as soon as flood started the bites got better, managed to lose another fish together with rig, new rig with smaller hooks filled with just 1 peeler seemd to be the answer as the next 3 casts produced 2 coalies and last cast a nice fish which managed to snag me some 30 yds out. Could have probably managed another 1hr as flood rushed in but was gettin a bit cold so called it a night..

Nice spot tho', 1st time Ive fished it with a coloured sea, I imagine fishin will be frantic during the winter months given the right conditions!!!!!
