This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

I took a ride down the marine drive this lunchtime & couldn't believe the crowds, anyway i found a parking space and walked round to see a huge crowd stood looking out to sea and a couple of rod tips just in front of a big ship which i recognized as the QE2, as i approached i said to one of the crowd, "is everybody here to see the QE2" and he replied.

"Is it the QE2 ?,No were all watching the yellyworm give casting lessons to those other 2 blokes"

True story honest !

I thought the crowd was very ungrateful yesterday, there I was entertaining them while they waited for the boat with my comedy casting efforts and how to destroy reel line and as soon as the boat went passed the all just walked away.Leaving me no option but send out another 25 yds cast to the right.
Crap days fishing on that godforsaken s**th**e called the drive !!!!
I am sure the chance of a good fish is always ther but for me no more, will somebody please give quint a map of the area as I feel at the moment he has forgotten how to get out of Scarbro' hence our last four trips have been down there.
I need a different venue it's doin my napper in even seeing acropods in my dreams !!!
Newdave careful its your turn this !!  ;) :o :o ;)

Cheers Dave

;D ;D I heard Jimmy Saville was well impressed with his casting too Dave  8) He kept shouting "hows about that then" or at least thats what I thought it was at first, then realised he was shouting "who,s that p#@t then"  ;D Sorry Jellyworm, only joking. Got your pm and I,ll give you a ring during the week. Keep going mate.

Indeed an epic struggle between the acropods and the worm, he swings, he bends, he flings, he scurries down, he scrambles up, he curses, he glares, he snarls, he stares - "snap, crackle, pop" - but he never gives up - and for that Dave I salute you

Thanks Iain,no way will that bloody 7500 beat me , bigger blocks going in and less line. Also going to go practicing with , yes you've guessed... jellyworms on a rig, so that I can tune the reel in a baited rig scenario. The robster gave me a few tips and so watch out, once I ve cracked it there'll be no stopping me.
The bitch might be going with me Thursday so reckon I'll have to go to Blea Wyke just to ensure that she stays at home....lol

Cheers Jelly-Moeskops-worm

Just one last mention going to quint. There we were the three of us standing on one of those damn acropods I was asked what I thought about fishing off the drive. To which I replied, "I'd rather go home and slam my bell end in the fridge door !" :o :o
Shocked quint chastised me saying " worm there might be kids in the crowd."
Funny what double standards that boy has.
A short while later a little old lady all dressed up in her Sunday best leant over the sea wall and shouted to quint, the conversation went like this :
Lady: What are you fishing for."
Quint: Fish !
Lady: I know, but what sort of fish.
Quint: Cod.
Lady (still very polite and quite sweetly), I thought they'd all gone is it good here ?
Quint: NO ITS BOLLOCKS !!!

Little old lady sheepishly walks away .

Quint: No wonder I can't get a woman.

Cheers Worm.
