peelers still about????

has anybody found any peelers recently? i was reading the tag 'finding peeler crab' and it mentioned that they peel again in early sept through to october???

Yes you can still find peelers now on the open shoreline. Avoid the temptation to dip into other peoples traps as it will be more trouble than its worth.

thr crabs are still peeling in our usual summer numbers. no sighns of a late flush of larger cock crab yet but that hasnt happened for a few years anyway.

as long as its warm they will peel for at least another month.

it will be harder on the open shore though.
