This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

  even the hounds !!

having said that theres not many summer species that will swim past a fresh black !!   I guess you wont have been bothered by crabs with that many fish around !!

So what is the best state of tide for a bit of the action ? High or low or somewhere in between ? and how long will the fishing stay this good ?

i been back tonight for a repeat performance................

not a chance
the muck line has moved in from 700yds to 30yards over night and killed it stone dead.
had 1 small bass very tight in the coloured water (wot little there was)
might be worth a go after dark from now on, but wouldnt expect much until the water colours up again

I'm glad you posted that Chris.I got a text from Chopper yesterday morning telling me he had done very well down Holderness,so yesterday afternoon my FPO,nephew and me hastily arranged some bait and shot down to the chosen mark.We fished a very nice spot for the last 1 1/2 hours down and the same up,i had one thorny pull that never came back and that was the only bite between 3 rods, there were 3 more lads down for one tiny bass and that was it.I texted Chopper last nite and he couldn't believe we had blanked and had a chuckle at my expense  :cheesy: I spent most of last night wondering what i had done wrong but now i can rest easy and blame it on lack of fish  :embarrass: :embarrass: tight lines

Just out of curiosity , does that coast only fish on coloured seas through summer ?
do you rely on a heavy sea`s to get the colour or rain as well ,
just wondering how it fishes so well through summer without either of the above ? is it nightime all the time ?
sould destroying that smokester altho you dont have that far to travel do you ......badluck ......

The day it fished was the day of the proposed forum match  :cheesy: from what I can gather it seems like all the food was concentrated in the deminishing colour band with the fish  working along the edge of it or in it, bringing the fish close in.
