The sea had started to fall away from the heavy seas of Monday and Tuesday and with heavily coloured water, conditions were excellent for cod fishing in the Whitby sea anglers 3 hour mid week match fished over a large ebbing tide. Glenn Kilpatrick was amongst the fish with 4 codlings for 11 pounds 13 ounces from his chosen mark giving him first place on the night. Andy Craig came in second with 2 fish for 4 pounds 15 ounces.  Rob Allison  was third placed angler with 2 cod for 4 pound 4 ounces.

Results : 1st G Kilpatrick 11-13(4), 2nd A Craig 4-15(2), 3rd R Allison 4-4(2), D Craig jnr 2-12(2), M Vasey 2-2(1), D Smith jn2 2-2(1), P Kilpatrick 1-9(1), W Atkinson 1-3(1).
