Polite Notice

This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

Last Nights Match
« on: March 19, 2007, 06:15:36 PM »
Sunday 18th March 2007

The largest ebb tide of the season coupled with a growing north westerly sea swell meant the going was tough for the members of the Whitby sea angling club. Late season expert  William Atkinson continued his excellent run of  form winning this match with 3 cod for 10 pounds 6 ounces, the biggest of which a cod of 5 pounds 8 ounces now leads the way in the competition for the heaviest fish in March. With only 3 matches left until the end of the season Williams bag keeps him in 7th position overall in the league but moves him within striking distance of Paul Kilpatrick who currently holds 4th place. Second placed angler on the night was Rob Allison with 1 fish for 2 pounds 11 ounces. Paul Kilpatrick finished 3rd with 1 fish for 2 pounds 3 ounces.

Results: 1st W Atkinson 10-6(3), 2nd R Allison 2-11(1), 3rd P Kilpatrick 2-3(1), D Thompson 1-14(2), D Hansen 0-8(1), B Harland 0-5(1).
