This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

had a look out over low earlier at port, it looked nice over to the right in kell hole so set off down.
good choice as i managed 9 codling for around 30pound, with a 6lb'er a 5lb'er and a couple of 4lb'ers in amongst a very good stamp of fish, things look good for the coming months :)
one thing i did notice this evening was how hard the fish were fighting, every one put up a good hard enjoyable scrap, there must be something in the water ;D

cheers boys

to be honest i was,nt fishing it hard and fast iether and was only using up a tub full of crispy (tinnies) peeler that i kept for having a daft chuck in the summer but never ended up using them, so a chilled sesh with not totaly ideal conditions and not the best bait was a recipe for success, might use this approach for my ten pounder in the john smiths on sunday ;D ;D

its just over in the right hand corner of port, you cant miss it, big long black hole well shown when rough water goes over it, with a w/nw sea on last night all the fish and grub etc must have pushed over ointo that corner. i can honestly say i only had around 15 casts and should have had 15 fish.
when the fish where shy biting i was losing them off, but the ones i landed were absolute riving rod bending heart stopping pulls, with a burried hook bait when landed, and they fought like stink, was talking to chopper earlier and he said it might be because there is that much feed around they are extra strong well fed greyhound puppies ;D

the other two went back gary, one deserved to go back because when i landed it,  it just went absolutely foookin beserk on the deck like a rabid mackarel, and came off the hook, i plopped that one back and i had a 2.5 lb last chuck lip hook wich went back :)

been back tonight with dav, wind and surge very bad, managed two though for 4.5lb ;D
