Polite Notice

This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

first attempt at lure fishing for bass
« on: July 04, 2008, 05:27:01 PM »
Wish I could say my first attempt was rewarding but it was a blank, however did learn things and found a fantastic low water cod shot for the back end.Fished over low water this morning and the little bit of motion stirred the bottom up so was catching small bits of weed on 95% of casts.I should perhaps have moved location but this was the spot I am sure holds fish.Never mind great fun and have learned a couple of things.
Oh by the way watched a small boat land after getting stranded on the sandbank and he had a dozen nice codlings and 9 zebras, thought tides might have been a bit warm for jigging but just shows fish are still there.
