Polite Notice

This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

Dry box for the yakkers. Ken there ya go
« on: April 27, 2008, 10:03:40 PM »
Got one of these back end of last year and having tried out now on two trips I m very pleased with both the seals on the lid and the snug/made for it fit in the front part of the tankwell on the Prowler range (p13 and 4.5 eelite).

There is plenty of room in the base for rig wallet a pack of butties, there is a removable tray and also a seperate compartment in the lid for smaller tackle items.
Using the dry box has definately reduced the clutter in the crate and the length ways opening gives easy access.

This is the link to where I got mine from.

Really enjoyed the yakking tonight especially when the child in me was allowed out to play at the end....was good to have a paddle in the building chop and swell gives you a bit of confidence in what the yaks will take from the sea......So robsterlobster is the reigning world record holder for yak standing......the current record is officially timed at 10 secs.

Best way to do it mate, play in the yak in a reasonably safe environment and find its and your limitations - bl**dy great un-responsive piece of plastic them ocean yaks, ok just peeved off I couldnt roll it  :canadian:

saw somewhere it was mentioned dropping a drogue in to keep you aiming in the right direction but ner paddle in with the wave action at 90 degrees to ya, even if it means coming in at an angle to the beach, look over your shoulder for a wave, paddle like hell, when the wave picks you up lean back and go with it supporting yourself on your paddle with the leading edge planeing over the top of the water and using it to correct you direction if necessary by pushing down on it to creat a bit of resistance  - our Worm got it well sorted tonight

oh God you lot are so rude . . .and heres me tryin to be all technical  :canadian:
