Heaviest Fish Of The Month Competition - Sponsored By Whitby Angling Supplies Here are details of another competition the forum will be running this month which is open to all forum members. Thanks to Whitby Angling Supplies I have a £20 voucher which will be awarded to the captor of the heaviest single fish (any species allowed). The Rules are : 1. Catch a fish from the shore. 2. Have it weighed and verified at a local tackle shop, or if its caught in a fishing club match have it weighed there. Sorry no catch and release as it isn't practical for this competition. 3. Make a post here within this topic including a photo of the catch. Please give details of bait, rigs used etc. If you don't wish to disclose your venue please just give a rough idea. Please say where the fish was weighed and who witnessed the weight. 4. The winner of the voucher will be the captor of the heaviest fish over the coming month. This competition ends on the last day of December. 5. You must be a member of this forum at the time you catch the fish. This competition will be repeated on a monthly basis over the coming months with Whitby Angling Supplies supplying a £20 voucher to the winner each month.

When entering the Fish of the Month competition have you got to be a member of the Forum before you catch the fish
or can you go and catch a big fish and then become a member of the Forum to claim the prize?
I should say the first instant should apply.

I have a fish of 5 pounds 6 ounces caught on Sunday night at Runswick to get the ball rolling. I will post a picture when I get them off the camera. The fish took crab, mussel, frozen gulley and fresh lug fished at about 40 yards (Bloody wind ) ;D.

well done glenn, it's got those tell tale black spots on ,could be from any 30 spots round ere bit better than my 2 pound speciman which was dragged out of hayburn wyke, although me and daddy wec did manage to beat all the locals down there, daddy wec had one 3 and half ,the only 2 fish which came out of the wyke ,it did look good though, as soon as the surfer ....yes surfer went home we chucked in middle of hole and got a fis h each and daddy wec missed another
