Polite Notice

This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

to take cps's veiws i am surprized that he felt the example he veiwed was found to be as his comments suggest,
-the example which i have  does not appear to have the same faults at all.
-in fact if he would like to veiw it he is most welcome as is anyone else.

just an observation john ,being in the engineering game the fault jumped straight out and bit me

fair comment chris, i  meant the above comment quite literally
-meaning that i was surprised that you found the reel to be as you described, -in fact i am prepared to accept that the reel was as you found it to be i.e.: 'faulty' and in no way did i mean that it was not so , -as such i did not doubt the validity of your appraisal of the individual reel you veiwed

the chinese don't make the abu's 2 the same standard as wot the swedes did.  the parts aren't as refined or exact. ..........saying that an abu reel used to cost a weeks wages, and now you can buy two of the latest reel, or 4 of a later model for aweeks wages.  so i suppose the chinese ones are reasonable value for the money.
