This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

serious Pollock :o  :o Thats that one I lost yesterday I think ;D
All mine went back too, don,t want to bite the hand that feeds me so to speak.

Dav, with been close in I got a red Cod out and that went straight back in too but it would,nt have been so lucky if was caught in the festivals  :P You do tend to target the Cod at first for a quick fix but in all honesty it,s the inshore kelpy holes I,ve always fancied fishing with floats and lures.

A Pollock from the same area you guys are fishing. There are some very large resident fish which are great sport on light tackle these fish should be returned and we should continue to enjoy some excellent sportfishing. I have got to say though it looks good fun on them yaks, see you out there
DB

Cracking fish that Dave mate and when you see specimen like that you do sort of feel they should be turned back into the water.

Hopefully one of the yakkers will post a similar picture soon.

Here's another decent pillock (sorry pollock) with a decent cod as well on board Lizzard, no sign of any big bellies, or fags for that matter, a smoke free zone and diet induced Karma pervades nowadays.  Well sometimes anyway

Tom you should have stopped off for a natter, the lads on the fishing cobbles usually shout a cheery hello across.Unless you were on the charter that steamed past us at a right rate of knots......would have been nice for that boat to have gone a little wider or have slowed down ...nearly washed me off the yak with bow wash from it !!!  :o  :o

Cheers Dave.
