As far as i know no licence needed. But some lochs that are fed by freshwater with salmon or trout may require the land owners permission or a permit
At the mo i plan on using it for all sorts due to the versatility of the drag seems at home with big cod and tope, with plenty of power in reserve...

Ive seen fish damaged by wire plus mono is imho easier to handle on the yak
Maybe a circle hook thing as i use j hooks and strike on the first run i do miss a few runs striking early but most of my fish are cleanly hooked...
