Well Done To Ryan Vasey AKA Ryanfish For Winning The Whitby Fishing Club Junior Section.

Polite Notice

This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

First time out with my HST won Redcar open, caught  a double, think I was 2nd too and got heaviest bag  ;D Ok I could,nt attribute it to the rod but it was a good christening all the same. The rod should be a bit of a treat once you,ve done all the spade work, no magic wands on sale as yet  ::)

Spot on ramrod, at times ive had the feeling from talking to some lads, that if they get the latest rod with the go faster stripe, everything will fall into place, i thin k we know the answer to that one !

Ive seen lads petrified to get a scratch on a rod, god knows what they will think will happen. My rod is f o o o ked and Im really proud of it  :D :D, every eye is bent and held on with masking tape and I catch just as much fish as anyone with a brand spanking pristine rod - With the exception of CPS who of course is the best angler in the world  ;) ;D ;D.

Dont believe the rods got anything to do with it Ramrod, i reckon we we could give you a bamboo cane, some bent pins & the magic crystal & you would still come up trumps.  ;D ;D

im having a lucky streak with a new reel at the moment it has landed two piggies won a sweepstake, caught codling everytime ive targeted them and hasnt blanked. its been used half a dozen times by me though wasnt that lucky for its previous keeper. i feel like im going to do well whenever i use it, it gives me confidence and that is in my book as important as  having a hook on the end of your line.
