In the Junior section its battle of the Sixsmith's at the moment. Passed winner Barney Sixsmith currently has 2nd and 3rd spot, but its the younger brother Jake who leads the way this year with a cod of 12-00 from Paul Eddons boat trot on.

Some good fish have been brought to the scales so far, but no doubt there is an elusive crocodile, halibut or giant cod happily swimming around at present, which will find it's nemesis in the next few days. Tight lines to all involved.

Mike Clarke from Barnsley caught this Tadpole fish of 1lb 6 ounce. According to our records it breaks the old Brittish record of 1lb 4 ounces. We are unsure of the procedure for claiming a record, so if anyone can help ??

Look to me that the Tdpole fish IS a new record, the biggest been previously caught was 1-04-04  off Christchurch, Dorset   S Bishop       1991.  This was taken from http://www.glaucus.org.uk/Raniceps.htm.

Well done to the lucky fisherman that caught it!!!!
I love COD me!!!!
