The very good conditions of last week lead to some good fishing with most anglers locating fish, with number of bags over 20lb and at least three double figure fish making an appearance, the pick of the fish was a thirteen pounder caught by Taffy Williams and the heaviest bag reported was twenty five pounds with most of the fish coming from the north of Scarborough, Burniston, Cloughton and Robins Hood Bays.
Last Thursday Matthew Hillaby won the Scalby Mills night match and at the weekend Rocks and South Cliff anglers fished their club matches, the winner was Mal Norris with a twenty two pound bag which included a twelve pound cod, Mal's weight lifts him into pole position in the seasons aggregates some seven pound ahead of Ian Thompson and his twenty two pound bag and twelve pound cod are the heaviest of the season to date.
South Cliff Anglers should be aware that the knockouts are being fished over January and February matches.
