a first class stretch of water heard of pike up to 28lb from this stretch  :surprise

Big chub too under the overhanging willows, you can also fish the bit of canal that connects to river on the same ticket, had some huge roach out of here

day tickets are available from the tackle shop in the town a couple of hundred yards away or from the pub near the bridge, bailiff insists you get tickets before you fish. Some of the canal is club only but the top end between the road bridge and the river is included on a day ticket. The chub are huge, great place in summer but in the winter when there is a lot of water its best to fish at your feet

Cheers for that Carpken, I haven't fished the Ure in years so would be nice to get back on there for some Pike/Perch (and maybe the odd chub).
