something different for the cumbria coast which the club were a bit dubious about as if theres something a lot of us sea anglers dont like its change

first match was 13th april workington pier to maryport pier and for the first time this year a decent match coincided with good weather for the target species of plaice and flounder.
Fishing the first four hours of the flood a good weigh in was ensured and barrow angler gareth griffiths won the match with 9 fish.
second was maryport sac angler jeff mcallister with six fish and third neil cutler.
Heaviest fish was a 3lb 1oz cod for local angler luke holliday.
heaviest plaice was 2lb 8oz and flounders and dogfish made up the catch.
myself chose the wrong place again and only had the one fish.i expected the tide to run for the last two hours on the mark i chose but it only ran very late on.

next match of the series is 27th april maryport prom pegged cmr 1-5pm.
