Many thanks to Jimmy Lettice (our local postman) for organising a junior competition off the harbour side wall a Silloth last Sunday.

28 youngsters were treated to a great day (Windy, but no rain) and totalled 102 fish between them.

Mostly flatties but with a smattering of whiting, rockling and one small codling.

A fabulous turn out and a fabulous effort from the grown ups ensured that every single fisherman received a prize.

Considering that none of them could cast more than 50 metres (some not even 50 ft) it was a great result.

Thanx again to Jimmy and to the local rugby club for hosting the prize giving in the evening.
