Polite Notice

This is a sea angling forum for the debate of all angling related topics, including: shore fishing, boat and kayak fishing. Here you will find pictures of anglers going sea fishing and catching fish. You will find angling related debate. Sometimes anglers will retain fish for the table. Whilst we respect the personnal choice of anglers to follow catch and release practices, this is not a conservation forum and devout conservationists unable to accept anglers sensibly retaining fish should seek out alternative forums. Anyone preaching catch and release or criticising other peoples reports will have their posts removed.

Hello lads thoought i,d let you know what was happening further north.
It was murder down the Pool today. Steetly was awash. Waves going right over the end concrete bit. Waves breaking over the middle. Heugh was a complete wash of waves. Middleton looked ok but very windy so settled on the red light. Tucked myself in behind the concrete shed. Fished with a rotten bottom and just as well. Lost 5 sinkers. Part of the upvc cladding on the lighthouse actually got ripped off and flung all over. It really was far to stormy to fish but like a divvy i carried on with another couple of hardy souls.
I did have one bite which i felt pull on the rod but when i struck felt the wieght of something then the hooks were lost. Either a big rock or a big fish.
There was one small tommy caught and one whitie.
Sea was MASSIVE. The rag worm i bought off Charlie at the Friarage was superb stuff.
When this lot settles come Monday there has got to be some fish

Mick.
