The new fishing headlights from Princeton Tec have really caught the eye of the local rock anglers. These headlights are light weight with no large battery to carry. They are very bright and powered by only 4 AA batteries which reside in the back of the headlight. With a 2 level main beam and 3 level led side lights the Princeton Tec Apex is excellent value for money. Anyone wanting to learn more about the Princeton Tec Headlight should click here to read a review within our sea fishing forums.

Rotten bottom rigs are an essential item for anyone who is going to fish the rough ground over rocks or into kelp. If you get snagged up when fishing and a fish takes your bait, you simply pull hard and the weak line snaps leaving your lead on the sea bed but allows you to wind in your fish. As well as describing a rotten bottom rig this page also details how to make your own rotten bottom fishing clips.

The Pulley rig is another essential item for the rig wallet of the north east rock angler. The simple but effective pulley system means when a fish is hooked your lead is lifted around 4 foot off the sea bed allowing you to reel in that fish without the lead becoming snagged on the rocky sea bed.
