The Rapala J11 Jointed Bass lure is rated as one of the best bass fishing lures around today. The Rapala Jointed J11 fishing lure is ideally suited to any fishing situation. It is ideal for casting and trolling from both the beach and shore. The Rapala J11 should also have a big future in the ever growing sport of kayak fishing where it can be used for trolling for predatory fish such as sea bass. The excellent action of the Rapala j11 is very similar to a baitfish-in-distress and should trigger takes with ease from hunting fish.

Thisheadlight has a beam like the search lights from the second world war. It is excellent for finding your way to your fishing marks on a dark night. Also it has an excellent spread of light making ideal for bait collecting/worm digging on a night. The light has a lower beam based on a 6 watt bulb which is more than enough to see whilst fishing and baiting up.
The Tiga Headlight has a Lightweight and comfortable headpiece and the beam direction is easily tiltable. It is powered by lead acid battery worn in a supplied pouch with a velcro adjustable belt.

Shakespeare have produced this rod in 14, 15 and 16 foot models. When they designed k2 red metal they had 1 thing only in mind - DISTANCE. Coupled with a fixed spool reel and light braid lines this rod gives the average angler the opportunity of casting up to 200 yards with ease. The K2 has been in the manufacturing/research stage for over 2 years and the first reports from those who have purchased them are very positive and well worth the wait.

The carbon tip is designed to maximise casting potential of weights in the 51/4oz and 7oz range. The rod also has ultra sensitive bite detection that will be difficult to match in any other rod. The k2 comes with a counterbalance weight system located in the rod butt This weight system is unique to the k2 shakespeare range and enables the angler to transfer the power when casting without exerting additional effort. The K2 Red Metals offer maximum distance casting for all anglers.

Excellent casting lead. Comes as either a grip lead or plain lead version. Also available as a 7 ounces lead weight for casting big baits on those very windy days.

This is a relatively new lead in the fishing market and early reviews are somewhat mixed. It sounds like the plain lead is excellent whilst the grip lead versions do not grip as well as they should.

OLATHE, Kan./November 15, 2005/PR Newswire — Garmin International Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN), today announced its new lineup of 2006 fishfinders, packed with features that will excite both the weekend inland angler and the serious offshore salt water fisherman.

“Garmin’s new line of sonar devices offer a great combination of features that will satisfy just about any boater’s requirements,” said Gary Kelley, Garmin’s vice president of marketing. “These units offer the same value, reliability, and innovation that boaters have come to know from Garmin.”

A number of new features come standard on all new Garmin fishfinders. To help freshwater anglers better pinpoint fish, Garmin now offers Ultrascroll™, which allows boaters to get a much faster refresh rate on their sonar display. The new line of units also have improved performance in shallow water – as little as a foot deep – that makes it easier to determine depth, structure, and fish targets. Auto gain, as well as user adjustable gain, is also standard on all of Garmin’s new fishfinders.

For serious anglers, Garmin offers the Fishfinder 340C – a full-featured sonar that offers a sunlight readable five-inch (diagonal) 320 x 234 pixel full-color TFT display. The Fishfinder 340C is offered in either a dual frequency configuration (50kHz, 45 deg and 200 kHz, 10 deg) – or, for inland anglers needing a wider fish-finding cone, a dual beam model (80kHz, 45 deg and 200kHz, 14 deg). Water temperature, a round flasher-style display, and an A-scope display also come standard on the Fishfinder 340.

In addition, the 340C is also enabled with Garmin’s new CANet™ — a one-megabit Controller Area Network that allows users to connect their unit to one of the new GPSMAP® 200, 300, or 400-series chartplotter. This allows boaters to read sonar displays on chartplotters located elsewhere in the boat.

The new Fishfinder 160C offers anglers both utility and affordability. The unit is primarily targeted at inland boaters, with the same dual beam transducer as the Fishfinder 340C. The unit features a sunlight readable 4.5” (diagonal) 128 x 128 pixel, 16-color CSTN display.

For the value-minded boater, the new Fishfinder 140 features a 4.7-inch (diagonal) four-level grayscale FSTN display and a dual beam transducer (80kHz, 45 deg and 200kHz, 14 deg). For entry-level consumers, Garmin recommends the Fishfinder 90, with a four-inch (diagonal) 128 x 64 pixel black-and-white FSTN display.

All units also offer adjustable range and a rescaling range display, as well as adjustable scroll speed, scroll pause, 2x and 4x zoom, water speed, shallow and deep water alarm, fish alarm, and improved display of fish arches.

Garmin is also proud to unveil the new GSD™-21, a black-box sonar device that transmits over the one-megabit CANet network or a standard serial connection. Boat owners can easily install the CANet network, allowing sonar information to be displayed on Garmin’s new GPSMAP® 200, 300, or 400-series chartplotter. The GSD-21 is an analog sonar that is available in either dual frequency configuration (50kHz, 45 deg and 200 kHz, 10 deg) – or dual beam (80kHz, 45 deg and 200kHz, 14 deg).

The GSD-22 is Garmin’s first digital sonar – allowing for more precise target separation and depth performance. The unit works with dual frequency 2000 to 500 watt transducers, capable of finding the bottom at up to five thousand feet deep. The GSD-22 is compatible over either the CANet or the fully integrated Garmin Marine Network. Both new GSD units feature Ultrascroll and user adjustable or automatic gain.

Garmin’s entire line of new fishfinders is expected to be available in stores on March 25, 2006. For more details and pricing, visit www.garmin.com.

OLATHE , Kan./March 27, 2006/PR Newswire — Garmin International, Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (Nasdaq: GRMN), today announced the GPSMAP 378 and GPSMAP 478 – two amazingly versatile and portable GPS navigators that come pre-loaded with a comprehensive set of maps and charts.

“Our customers want GPS navigators that come pre-loaded with the cartography that they need, and the GPSMAP 378 and 478 fit the bill. These two units are the ideal companions whether you’re sailing coastal waterways, boating on inland lakes, or driving across North America,” said Gary Kelley, Garmin’s vice president of marketing. “With optional XM WX Weather capabilities, the GPSMAP 378 and 478 are the only portable units on the market that can also let mariners and motorists know what kind of weather to expect during their trip.”

The GPSMAP 478 features built-in Marine Detail Charts of the United States coastline, including Alaska and Hawaii – utilizing elements of Garmin’s new BlueChart ® g2™ technology. These charts provide integrated maps for a much smoother presentation. BlueChart g2 has all the detail of traditional BlueChart, but with richer detail and content. Chart features include shaded depth contours, port plans, wrecks, restricted areas, and more.

For inland boaters and anglers, the GPSMAP 378 boasts 10-meter resolution for more than 3200 lakes. The vast majority of these high-resolution lakes include depth contours. In addition, 50-meter shoreline resolution is furnished for lakes across the entire continental United States. Maps depict USCG lights and a wrecks and obstructions database overlaid on the map. These lake maps are seamlessly integrated with the 378’s street maps.

For road trips, the GPSMAP 378 and 478 come pre-loaded with MapSource ® City Navigator ® NT detailed street maps of the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico. The industry-leading database features more than six million points of interest — including hotels, restaurants, gas stations, marinas, attractions, and more. Map data is provided by NAVTEQ – a world leader in premium-quality mapping. Each unit comes with a marine mount and automotive kit (including an integrated 12V power supply and speaker) that makes it a snap to transfer the unit from boat to car.

Additionally, with the GXM 30 antenna (sold separately), the GPSMAP 378 and GPSMAP 478 can graphically display XM WX Satellite Weather™ data directly on the unit’s display – information like NEXRAD radar, storm cells, wind speeds, surface temperatures, forecasts, and more than a dozen other weather attributes. The weather data is the same leading site-specific, analytical weather technology and data that is provided to professional meteorologists across the United States.

With the GXM 30, mariners and motorists also have the option of receiving XM Satellite Radio’s 150-plus channels of commercial-free music, sports, news, talk, and entertainment programming. The GPSMAP 378 and 478 include an audio output jack that allows users to wire XM audio and turn-by-turn navigational voice prompts directly into their vehicle’s audio system.

The GPSMAP 378 and 478 are waterproof to IEC 60529, IPX-7 standards (submersible to one meter for up to 30 minutes) and boast an enhanced high-resolution 256-color sunlight readable TFT display. For map transfer or software updates, the unit features a fast USB-PC interface. Users can load additional charts, maps, waypoints and routes through the unit’s data card slot.

Standard accessories include a marine and automotive mount, bare wire power/data cable, 12-volt power adapter with speaker, USB-PC interface cable, AC adapter, rechargeable lithium-ion battery pack, Trip and Waypoint Manager CD-ROM, user’s manual, and a quick start guide.

The GPSMAP 378 and GPSMAP 478 are expected to be available in late May 2006 at an expected street price of $1199.99 each. An optional GXM 30 antenna (required for XM service) sells for $249.99 (MSRP).

XM WX Satellite Weather data and audio is provided by XM Satellite Radio. Please see http://www.xmradio.com/weather/marine.html for pricing and other details.

The yo zuri hydro popper is yet another bass fishing lure of extreme quality from the yo zuri fishing lure range. The hydro popper is design for use in shallow waters and, as with all popper lures is designed to create disturbance in the surface layer of the sea similar to that create by the basses prey.

The Yo zuri hydro popper has a concave face which makes the plug pop and splash as it darts across the water surface. The action of this lure is proven to draw in the fish from a great distance away.
